Dr. Marc Tompkins is an orthopedic sports medicine surgeon and Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopedics at the University of Minnesota and also serves as fellowship faculty for the Orthopedic Sports Medicine Fellowship at TRIA Orthopedic Center.

Clinical and research interests for Dr. Tompkins include the treatment and rehabilitation of sports medicine injuries in all areas of the body with his practice focus on complex reconstructive and joint preservation surgery in the knee and shoulder.

He is widely published in these areas. Dr. Tompkins is an active member of many national and international orthopedic organizations, a frequent reviewer for orthopedic journals, and is involved in on field sports medicine at all levels of sports.
